Egg White Allergy Test

Intended Use

Egg white Allergy Test is a rapid test for the qualitative determination of Egg White specific Immunoglobulin E (sIgE) in human serum, plasma or whole blood.

Egg white Allergy Test, in conjunction with other clinical observations, is intended to identify the patient whose allergic symptoms maybe mediated by Egg White -specific immunoglobulin E (IgE) Type I hypersensitivity.

Introduction

Egg White allergy causes an overreaction of the immune system which may lead to severe physical symptoms for millions of people around the world. Egg allergy appears mainly, but not exclusively, in children. In fact, it is the second most common food allergy in children (The most common is cows' milk allergy).

What we should know about Egg white Allergy Test?

● The test should be only used for the qualitative detection of allergen sIgE.

● The test will only indicate the presence of sIgE in the specimen and should not be used as the sole criteria for the diagnosis of Allergy.

● If the test result is negative and clinical symptoms persist, additional testing using other clinical methods is recommended.

● As with all diagnostic tests, a confirmed diagnosis should only be made by a physician after all clinical and laboratory findings have been evaluated.
